Because I'm Bored....

While sitting at my desk at work, freezing... I thought I would do a little internet wish shopping. I have to wish, because I am broke at this time. One of my favorite online places to wish shop is Pier 1. Check out these great finds...

I love these Victorian style hooks. They are crafted of black iron and hand painted ceramic and they are only $5.95 each!

I have been looking for some vases for my living room and I'm totally digging this color. Found these bad boys in the clearance section for $14.98 each. Not Bad...

Not that I need another lamp, but this one is too cool and only $34.98!

Now go and check out www.pier1.com and find other good deals for me!

Frame The Date

You know I like anything personalized! During the Summer the Hubs and I bought one of the name frames that was personalized with our last name.

Which I loved! We also bought one as a wedding gift for our friend Joe and his new wife.
But... now I noticed that there is Frame The Date. This would be a perfect wedding present or for a new baby! I love it!

Personally, I like the ones that that just have the date framed, but some can be personalized with a photo. Now someone needs to get married or have a baby so I can have a reason to buy one of these dudes... Check them out www.framethedate.com

Recap Sunday

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Sunday's always come way too fast for me, but what can ya do? I started my part time Saturday job at Designer Again Consignment this Saturday and boy let me tell ya, I was t-i-r-e-d when I came home. It's been awhile since I have stood on my feet for 8 hours! I decided to get a part time job awhile back, and I really didn't want to work at the Mall again, so I contacted my old boss (I worked at Designer Again back in like 1995?? while I was in High School) and asked if she had any openings for Saturdays and lucky for me, she did. If you live around here and have never been in Designer Again, I recommend that you check it out! She not only sells clothes, but she has a bunch of antiques, furniture and household items! My dream place!

Now that Christmas is over, I'm ready to start tackling the house. I haven't decided yet which room I want to start with. I'm thinking either the dining room or our bedroom. The dining room has this horrible tacky wallpaper border and it's about to drive me crazy just looking at it, but then again, so does the master bedroom... I'm thinking of using one of the same paint colors that we used in the master bedroom at our Greenwood house. It's from Behr and it's called Harvest Brown.

It's the perfect brown shade! Then again, I kind of want to use new colors that I haven't used before, but you can't go wrong with this color. I kept our old curtains that we had in the master bedroom, so I know that it will match! I'm going to keep my eyes open just in case.

Christmas

So, it's Christmas. I hope everyone got what they wanted! Yeah, I got my Snuggie! It's pink and it's awesome. We woke up and continued the Grist tradition with the visit to Ihop. It was of course crowded and yummy!

How many times have you watched Christmas Story today? When we went by my fathers today it was on TV of course and he has to tell you what's going to happen before it actually does, like we haven't seen it a zillion times! I found that funny.
Not much else is going on here. We are about to watch a movie, but I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! Stay Warm, Get a Snuggie!

Heck Yeah! It Might Snow...

We are expecting to get 2-4 inches... so they say... I guess we'll have to wait and see. This will be the first time we've had a "white" Christmas since the 90's. I don't know about you, but I am looking forward to it. Now, don't get me wrong, I hate winter and everything to do with it, but I wouldn't mind being stuck inside with my Hubs and doogers watching movies all day!

So make sure you make that trip to the grocery store and stock up on some yummy food and hot chocolate, booze, whatever... because when the snow doesn't come, at least we'll have something to eat & drink. Merry Christmas Eve...

Antique?

I just had to share this with everyone... I was wondering through one of the local antique stores here and I came across this wonderful item...

Now, unfortunately I decided against buying this gem (which I will probably regret later), but it sure did catch my eye! I mean just look at it! Someone actually took the time to decorate this picture and I must say, they did an awesome job. What is killing me is, that someone is still trying to sell it! I was so overwhelmed with this beauty, that I didn't even check the price on it. Oh well, live and learn.

I'm Back

Did you miss me? I thought I would take some time off for awhile. Not only did we move, but it just got boring and monotonous. So, I thought I would switch things up a bit and blog about my life instead of just about home things.

First things first. We did move back to Fort Smith and yes, we moved to a rental house in Park Hill.

The contract on our house in Greenwood fell through. We are STILL waiting on approval from our mortgage company for the short sale. The people that who placed the offer on the house backed out since it's been several months and we still don't know whether or not if we are able to short sale. I don't blame them for backing out, I would have done the same.We decided to go ahead and move out since we found a cute house in our price range and neighborhood. So, our Greenwood house is empty and lonely and still on the market. Actually, we are taking awhile off from showing it until we find out for sure what the short sale deal is. Hopefully, it will all be over soon! I'm crossing my fingers!

I am hoping that after the holiday's I will be able to start "updating" the new house. Right now, it's all one color.... gray. Seriously! I guess they really loved the color and decided to paint every wall in the house the same, well except the bathroom and it has horrible wallpaper. It has been hard downsizing from a 3 bedroom to a 2 bedroom. I'm running out of storage space! But, all and all, it's been worth it. We love being back in Fort Smith and not to mention we are saving a ton of money on gas!

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! I hope everyone will have a Merry Christmas and gets lots of presents! I am thankful that I have a great family to spend this holiday with!

Just in case you were wondering about the title of this blog, Y is the street we live on. I was trying to get creative here!
